Join us for a guest favorite – Saturday Alive! Each month, we’ll discuss a new topic and introduce you to several of our animal ambassadors. There is always something fun to learn at the Anniston Museums and Gardens!
This program is included with daily admission and free for members.
Little Explorers A to Z Preschool Class

Children aged 3 ½ to 5 and a parent or caregiver are invited to join our education team each Tuesday as we encourage curiosity, exploration, and learning through play with stories, activities, and crafts about the natural world. Following the program, parents and caregivers are encouraged to explore the museum with their children and learn more about the day’s topic in the exhibit halls. We will explore a new topic each week. Animal ambassadors will drop in periodically to help.
*Younger siblings are welcome, but all activities are geared toward older preschool-aged children. Little Explorers is included with museum admission and is free for members.
Anniston Changers at Constantine Park! (9/23/23)

It’s that time again! The Anniston Changers are back for another service project, and this time we will be working the neighborhoods around Constantine Park on September 23rd! Come and volunteer with us from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and let’s clean-up our community together!

Volunteers will meet at Constantine Park, located at: 1501 Constantine Ave, Anniston, AL 36201
At this project, we will mainly be focusing on mowing properties and litter pick-up! Thus, please bring lawnmowers, landscaping tools, and gloves! There will be some other tasks as well, so feel free to come and help out in any way that you can!

Carver Community Center After School Program

Do you need after school care?
Carver Community Center is providing an after school program strictly for Cobb Preparatory Academy!
The program will service children at Cobb in grades K3, K4, and K5.
The after school program will begin Monday, August 7th from 2:30pm to 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
The registration fee is $25. After registration, parents have a choice of paying a weekly fee of $15 or a monthly fee of $50.
Spots are limited so please enroll as soon as possible!

Come Explore Your World! at the Anniston Museums and Gardens on Saturday, August 26th with complimentary admission all day. Meet some of our animal ambassadors, explore the exhibit halls at Anniston Museum of Natural History and Berman Museum, and learn something new through various hands-on activities.
Hidden History

The Berman collection is much larger than what is seen on display. Join us every Friday in June, any time between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm, to see artifacts most people don’t have a chance to see. Each week we will highlight several artifacts with a common theme not currently on display and learn the stories behind them. You never know what you’ll discover next!

Creature Feature

Did you know that the Anniston Museums and Gardens is home to a variety of live reptiles, mammals and birds? Make plans to join us in the exhibit halls on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to meet and learn about one of our animal ambassadors. You never know who will be featured!

I Spy! Wabi-Sabi

The popular children’s program series, I Spy! has returned! Each month we will explore a new topic or person in history through stories, scavenger hunts, and crafts. This month we will learn about Wabi Sabi, the Japanese concept of appreciating the imperfect.
I Spy! is recommended for ages 6 – 10, but all are welcome. Pre-registration is encouraged. This program is included in museum admission and free for members.
Free Play Fridays

Join the Education team in the Learning Lodge for fun, open-ended exploration using natural materials. Perfect for all ages.
