Noble Street Park

Bids Due: Monday, August 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM CDT

Sealed proposals will be received by The City of Anniston, at their office at 4309 McClellan Boulevard, Anniston, Alabama 36206, until 10:00 AM, CDT, August 22, 2022 for the construction of the Noble Street Park, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidders license number, license expiration date, and name of the project.

Principal items of work include demolition of approximately 14,000 sf parking lot and sidewalk area; construction of brick plaza, pavilion, sidewalks, crosswalks, curb and gutter, landscape, furnishings, audio system and irrigation.

The entire project shall be completed in (120) one hundred and twenty working days.

Plans and specifications may be downloaded free of charge from the City of Anniston’s website at: www.annistonal.gov/bid-openings. Plans and specifications may also be purchased in digital or hardcopy format via Alabama Graphics Planroom (www.algraphicsplanroom.com).

A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Anniston, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, MUST accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.

Addenda and other bidding information will be issued via Alabama Graphics Planroom or via the City of Anniston’s website. 

Release of the Bid Documents to the bidder does not imply acceptance of the bidder’s qualifications by the Owner or Landscape Architect.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner’s judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted on Monday, August 1st, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. CST in the Executive Conference Room, City Hall, 4309 McClellan Blvd., Anniston, Alabama, 36206. Bids will not be accepted from anyone who does not attend this conference.

Sealed bids will be accepted until Monday, August 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., Central Time, in the Executive Conference Room, City Hall, 4309 McClellan Blvd. Anniston, Alabama, 36206, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

 All bid documents are available for review Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 4309 McClellan Blvd., Anniston, and AL. Copies of bid documents may be obtained from this office. 

Professional Service firms, contractors and subcontractors, should be familiar with the requirements regarding conditions of employment, correct job classifications and minimum wage rates for all workers on this project. Professional Service firms, contractors and subcontractors must comply with all Federal, State, and local requirements. Minority and female firms are encouraged to participate in this Federal funded project. Procurement shall be in compliance with the Common Rule, 24 CFR 200.300. Potential contractors and subcontractors should be familiar with the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 24 CFR 570.602 and Executive Order 11246 – Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action.

Residential Solid Waste Collection and Disposal

Bids Due: Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM CST

The City of Anniston will be receiving sealed bids for Residential Solid Waste Collection and Disposal until Tuesday August 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Central Time, in the Large Conference Room at City Hall, 4309 McClellan Blvd., Anniston, Alabama, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

All bid documents are available for review Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 4309 McClellan Blvd., Anniston, and AL. Copies of bid documents may be obtained at this office. 

The City of Anniston reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
