The Civil Service Board meets at 9:30 a.m. every second Wednesday of the month at City Hall.

Candidates for Anniston Police and Fire Department positions must submit a completed Anniston Civil Service Application with a copy of a high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license to the Anniston Civil Service Board. Please, submit applications and background packets to Heather Stephens at: hstephens@annistonal.gov. You may also complete your application and submit your background packets online by using the portal below. For questions, please contact: (256) 231-7760.
A background packet must be turned in with a Civil Service application. Applications and background packets may be submitted in person at City Hall (4309 McClellan Blvd, Anniston, AL 36206) or they may be submitted online by using the portal below:
