Join the Anniston Museums and Gardens at the Berman Museum for three days of engaging medieval fun as we separate fact from fiction, and explore the Middle Ages through hands-on projects and activities sure to bring history to life! It’s a camp experience your child will not soon forget!

Cost: $135; AM&G Members receive a $15 discount (includes daily lunch and all activities)

Saturday Alive! Sounds of Nature with guest speaker, Eric Cline

Ever wonder which animals are making the sounds you hear in nature? Join guest speaker and former AM&G Educational Interpreter, Eric Cline, as we explore the ways animals communicate with each other through a variety of sounds and calls when in danger, defending their territory, and looking for a mate.
Program is included in museum admission and free for members.

Learn, Grow, Eat, and Go!

Join Alabama Cooperative Extension Agent, Tammy Hall each Wednesday for Learn, Grow, Eat, and Go! Learn, Grow, Eat, and Go! (LGEG) is the research and evidence-based curriculum project of the Junior Master Gardener Program that combines academic achievement, gardening, nutrient-dense food experiences, physical activity, and family engagement. This linear set of hands-on, proven lessons, will help students better understand plants and how plants provide for people’s needs. The curriculum features opportunities for the students to participate in fresh vegetable tastings/evaluations, simple recipe demos, and physical activities that research shows can improve on-task behavior and academic performance.
This program is designed for rising 3rd – 5th grade students. Pre-registration recommended.

Lunch and Learn: Flag Day

Flags have represented many things to many people for thousands of years and continue to do so today. Bring your lunch and join the Berman Museum on Flag Day to explore the ways flags have been used throughout world history. Learn about and view various U.S. flags and the meanings behind flag colors and symbols. This program is geared toward high school age and above, but all are welcome.
This program is included with admission and free to members.

Did you know that the Anniston Museums and Gardens is home to a variety of live reptiles, mammals and birds? Make plans to join us in the exhibit halls on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to meet and learn about one of our animal ambassadors. You never know who will be featured!
This program is included in museum admission and free for members.

Stop the Violence Day & Back to School Bash (2023)

On July 27, 2023 join the City of Anniston and the Anniston City Schools as we provide a safe, fun-filled and educational:
“Stop the Violence Day & Back to School Bash!”
Activities include speakers, outdoor athletics, food, and organized, educational fun! We will kick-off at 4:00 PM at Zinn Park (101 W 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201).

Fourth Friday 2023

Fourth Friday returns to Downtown Anniston on Fridays in June, July, August and September from 6pm till 9pm. Mark your calendars and join us at the new Noble Street Park (intersection of 11th and Noble) for the Fourth Friday Makers Market!
In the heart of Noble Street Park you will find craft and artisan vendors, along with live music. Along 11th Street you will find more vendors, food trucks, and a free Kid’s Zone.
We encourage you to come downtown, shop with our merchants, dine at our restaurants, and if you’d like, grab a beverage of your choice from a participating member of our Downtown Anniston Arts and Entertainment District before walking over to join us for Fourth Friday.

We’ll see you downtown on Friday, June 23rd, Friday, July 28th, Friday, August 25th and Friday, September 22nd for the Fourth Friday Makers Market.

Vendor applications are still open and the deadlines to register for each month is Friday, June 16th, July 24th, August 18th and September 15th by 4pm

Something To Do Sundays are back! A local favorite, every 3rd Sunday we will set up shop at one of our centers, or out in the community, and provide the youth with educational fun, games, activities, and structure!

This month, we will be at Constantine Park (103 Elm Street, Anniston, AL 36201) on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM!

Our Something To Do days started with concerned community citizens coming together on one accord to offer our deserving youth a structured, yet fun-filled opportunity to play and learn!

Be sure to bring your most recent #ReportCard! Rewards will be given to A & B Students!

The Anniston Downtown Market 2023 Season

Brought to you by the City of Anniston and Main Street Anniston, the 2023 season of THE Downtown Market will be located in the newly refurbished City Market Building at 126 West 11th Street. Find us Saturday mornings, May 13th-September 30th, from 7-11 a.m., then stay to explore all that Downtown has to offer, from dining to shopping, historic landmarks, arts, and entertainment!
