2023 Free Disposal Day!

2023 Free Day Schedule

In 2023, the City of Anniston will be offering free disposal days 8 months out of the year! During the disposal periods, one roll-off dumpster will be placed in each of Anniston’s four (4) wards, so citizens may dispose of their items free of charge! To see our free disposal day dates, please view the list below: 

Feb.17th & 18th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
March 17th & 18th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
May 19th & 20th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
June 16th & 17th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
Aug. 18th & 19th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
Sept. 15th & 16th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
Nov. 17th & 18th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
Dec. 15th & 16th | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
During each of these disposal periods, we will provide one roll-off dumpster at each of the following locations (4 rolloffs in total during each disposal day):

Anniston Changers at the Carver Center!

The Anniston Changers are headed to the Carver Community Center this month! This project marks our 2-Year anniversary of monthly service projects!

Before we celebrate though, there is work to do! So, we need your help! We will be tackling trash piles that have been left out on the roadside or illegally dumped, as well as picking up litter around the community, and more!

Volunteers will meet at the Carver Community Center Parking Lot (720 W 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201) on Saturday, October 29th! We plan to work from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM!

From the meeting point, volunteers will be assigned to areas of town to pick up any piles they see! So if you have a truck or trailer, and want to make an impact on your community, please join us on Saturday to be the Change! Other volunteers will work the area around Carver on foot, so there will be something for everyone to help with! 

Also, for those that can’t make the project, no need to worry! There will be rolloff dumpsters at Pelham Park, the Carver, Norwood Hodges, and South Highland Centers all day Saturday (10/29/22) for free use for all!

The Anniston Changers are on the move, and we need your help, and your TRUCKS! This month, we are taking the effort on the road and we will be tackling trash piles that have been left out on the roadside or illegally dumped!

We cannot do it alone though! If you have a truck, please come meet us at the Anniston City Meeting Center (1615 Noble Street, Anniston,  AL 36201) starting at 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, September 24th!

It’s that time again! The Anniston Changers are back for another monthly service project, and this time we will be working in Downtown Anniston on August 27th from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM!

At this project, we will mainly be focusing on cutting weeds, and litter pick-up! Thus, please bring weed eaters, landscaping tools, and gloves! There will be some other tasks as well, so feel free to come and help out in any way that you can!

3rd Quarterly Disposal Day | July 29th – July 30th

The 3rd Quarterly Disposal Day will take place from Friday, July 29th (07/29/22) through Saturday, July 30th (07/30/22) from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day. These quarterly Disposal Days will occur in January, April, July, and October of each year, with exact dates/times to be announced prior to each quarter.

Anniston Changers | Woodstock 5K Race Course!

It’s that time again! The Anniston Changers are back for another monthly service project, and this time we will be working the Woodstock 5K Race Course on July 23rd! The annual Woodstock 5K will be taking place on August 6th, thus we want to do our part to help the area look its best for all the participants! 

On Saturday, July 23rd, we ask that you come and volunteer with us to clean-up the areas around the Woodstock 5K Race Course from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM!

Anniston Changers in Lenlock!

The Anniston Changers are back for another monthly service project, and this time we will be visiting the Lenlock community!
On Saturday, May 21st, we ask that you come and volunteer with us to clean-up the areas in Lenlock from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM!

Special Work Session | City Brush/Debris Policy | 04/26/22

SPECIAL WORK SESSION 042622 CITY BRUSH & DEBRIS POLICY

The City of Anniston would like to make everyone aware of a Special Work Session on April 26, 2022 at 4:00 PM; wherein, the Anniston City Council will be discussing the city’s current brush and debris pick-up policies.

This work session will be held in Room B at the Anniston City Meeting Center (1615 Noble St, Anniston, AL 36201), and it will be open to the public. At this work session, citizens will be allowed to provide their input on the policies, but comments must be limited to 3 minutes or less.

The meeting will be streamed live via the city’s Facebook, as well as uploaded to our YouTube channel afterwards.

It’s that time again! The Anniston Changers are back for another monthly service project!

On Saturday, March 26th, we ask that you come and volunteer with us to clean-up the Golden Springs area from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM!

After arriving at the school, volunteers will be shuttled out to clean-up the following areas: 

Raemon Road, Coleman Road/Warrior Road, Robertson Road, and Terry Road
