81st Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

December 7, 1941, is the “date which will live in infamy” – the attack on Pearl Harbor propelled the United States into World War II. Commemorate this historic event 81 years later at the Berman Museum. Visit the Pearl Harbor gallery any time between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to learn more about our neighbors who gave the ultimate sacrifice that day and hear the inspiring stories of a survivor.

The Noble Street Festival returns to Downtown Anniston on May 6, 2023 from 11 AM – 7 PM! Join us for live music, local cuisine, pro bike racing, a free KidZone, and other exciting attractions! Main Street Anniston’s, Noble Street Festival, a large scale community event — anticipates bringing together nearly 7,500-10,000 attendees and dozens of companies from across the greater Calhoun County areas!

Thanksgiving Community Cleanup! | 11/19/22

Boozerbeam is feeling thankful this Fall season, and wanted to give back to their surrounding community! Thus, we invite all those interested to come out and volunteer with the Boozerbeam staff on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM, as they sponsor an Anniston Changers clean up event!

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot across from Boozerbeam located at:
1608 West 16th St, Anniston, AL 36201
We will be working to clean up the areas and neighborhoods nearby the facility, thus be sure to bring any lawn equipment you can such as lawn mowers or weed eaters!

Free Mini Health Clinic!

The Anniston Senior Therapeutic Center will be hosting a free mini health clinic this Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Mural Park (1507 Glen Addie Ave, Anniston, AL 36201).

There will be vaccines available, COVID shots, health information resources and refreshments!

POW Memorial Ceremony at McClellan’s German Italian Cemetery

After three years of private ceremonies, the historic POW Memorial Ceremony at McClellan’s German Italian Cemetery is back open to the public! You are invited to pay tribute to the 26 German and 3 Italian soldiers buried there on Sunday, Nov 20 at 1:30 PM. 

The ceremony will feature the JSU ROTC Color Guard, a German Military Representative from Huntsville, an Italian Military Representative from Dothan, and the family of one of the German POWs. 

We hope you will attend and experience this important part of McClellan history!

Join the City of Anniston and Main Street Anniston on Tuesday, December 6th for the annual Downtown Anniston Christmas Parade!

The Christmas Village will open at 5:00 PM and the parade will begin at 6:30 PM!

Something To Do Sundays are back! A local favorite, every 3rd Sunday we will set up shop at one of our centers or out in the community and provide the youth with educational fun, games, activities, and structure from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM!

Our Something To Do days started with concerned community citizens coming together on one accord to offer our deserving youth a structured, yet fun-filled opportunity to play and learn!

Be sure to bring your most recent Report Card! Rewards will be given to A & B Students!
