🎄 The Judkins Family Christmas BBQ Returns for Its 10th Year!
The City of Anniston is excited to share that the 10th Annual Judkins Family, Friends, and Community Christmas BBQ will take place on Thursday, December 25, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carver Center (720 W. 14th St.).
This cherished community tradition offers free food, fellowship, and live entertainment from N2 Christ, the Mary Culpepper Community Choir, and more.

The Wiggins Community Center is proud to once again offer free Thanksgiving meals to the community! Noble Street Festival & Sunny King Criterium! (04/11/26)
The Sunny King Criterium brings a kaleidoscope of colors and whirl of action to Anniston with twenty exciting bicycle races in Downtown Anniston. Nine hours of live web streaming showcase the sights and sounds to cycling fans across the U.S., and around the globe. Racing action will be called by professional sports commentators Brad Sohner and Lauren Hall. It’s one of the best days of racing to watch in person, or online, providing valuable exposure for the hundreds of competitors and their teams as well as area tourism.
“There’s no better place to start up the criterium racing season for USA Cycling’s Pro Road Tour than in Anniston. It’s a fast, smooth course in downtown with plenty of spectators. Being close to Talladega, speed is the name of the game for the Sunny King Criterium,” said Sohner.
Sunny King Automotive Group continues as a longtime supporter of the Sunny King Criterium. Admission for spectators is free for all bicycle races, making it one of the most unique professional sporting events in the country. A portion of proceeds from all bicycle race registration fees are donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life chapter of Calhoun County. Since 2002, more than $200,000 has been raised for cancer research and patient support.

Festival Attractions
Noble Street Festival boasts of “something for everyone”. With crowds of 8500-10,000+ we guarantee that the whole family will enjoy their time in Downtown Anniston on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Returning this year is the Sunny King Kid Zone with FREE inflatables. Within the action packed Kid Zone you will find Big Sam the Balloon Man, Whit’z Kidz, face painting, and so much more.
In the heart of Noble Street Festival you will find the music stage with live music all day. Check below for more information on this year’s music lineup.
We expect to see more vendors than ever before, allowing you to shop with 50+ food and craft vendors.

Anniston Changers | Blue Mountain Community Clean Up (06/20/26)
The Anniston Changers are calling for all hands on deck for a Blue Mountain Community Clean-Up on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM CT. This is an opportunity for neighbors, families, churches, civic groups, and local organizations to come together, take pride in their community, and help remove litter while beautifying local streets.
Volunteers will meet in the parking lot beside Blue Mountain Baptist Church, located at: 15 Blue Mountain Rd W, Anniston, AL 36201 (Map Link to Site: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jp2w7muo2AduGX316).
Supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, gloves, and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers who have access to lawn mowers are also encouraged to bring them. This project will focus primarily on litter removal throughout the Blue Mountain community and surrounding streets. Participants will help pick up litter, mow select properties, and assist with other beautification efforts. For questions about the event, please contact jhodges@annistonal.gov.
