Anniston Changers at Norwood Park! (03/18/23)

The Anniston Changers are BACK, and we invite all those interested to come out and volunteer with us on Saturday, March 18th, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Norwood Park!

Our meeting location will be in the parking lot of Norwood Park: 420 W. 29th St, Anniston, AL 36201
We will be working to clean up the areas and neighborhoods around the park, so be sure to bring any lawn equipment you can! We will be picking up litter as well!

Fire VS Police Chili Cook-Off!

Main Street Anniston has partnered with Anniston Fire Department and The Anniston Police Department to bring you the first ever, Fire VS Police Chili Cook-off benefiting the annual APD Toy Drive!!!
On Saturday, December 3rd our local officers and firemen will go head to head as competitors seeking the title of Anniston’s Best Bowl of Chili!
Admission is $10 at the door OR a new, unwrapped toy! Admission includes 5 sampling tickets, drinks, and condiments. Also included is a voting ticket for People’s Choice – Best Chili. Once you’ve found the chili you enjoy the most, guests may purchase a bowl of that chili for an additional $5.
Mark your calendars and join us as we support the Anniston Police Department and their annual Toy Drive for Christmas in our community.
Thanksgiving Community Cleanup! | 11/19/22

Boozerbeam is feeling thankful this Fall season, and wanted to give back to their surrounding community! Thus, we invite all those interested to come out and volunteer with the Boozerbeam staff on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM, as they sponsor an Anniston Changers clean up event!

We will be working to clean up the areas and neighborhoods nearby the facility, thus be sure to bring any lawn equipment you can such as lawn mowers or weed eaters!

Anniston Changers at the Carver Center!

The Anniston Changers are headed to the Carver Community Center this month! This project marks our 2-Year anniversary of monthly service projects!
Before we celebrate though, there is work to do! So, we need your help! We will be tackling trash piles that have been left out on the roadside or illegally dumped, as well as picking up litter around the community, and more!
Volunteers will meet at the Carver Community Center Parking Lot (720 W 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201) on Saturday, October 29th! We plan to work from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM!

From the meeting point, volunteers will be assigned to areas of town to pick up any piles they see! So if you have a truck or trailer, and want to make an impact on your community, please join us on Saturday to be the Change! Other volunteers will work the area around Carver on foot, so there will be something for everyone to help with!
Also, for those that can’t make the project, no need to worry! There will be rolloff dumpsters at Pelham Park, the Carver, Norwood Hodges, and South Highland Centers all day Saturday (10/29/22) for free use for all!

APD Thanksgiving Food Drive!

The Anniston Police Department Community Relations Unit is conducting a food drive to help those in need for Thanksgiving. Starting on October 19, there will be a donation box in the front lobby of the police department to collect donated items (174 W. 13th St, Anniston, AL 36201).

United Way’s Day of Action!

United Way of East Central Alabama would like to invite you to make a BIG IMPACT on our community! On Tuesday, October 25 from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 250 volunteers at each location will assemble and package 50,000 meals for our local food pantries and shelters to help fight against hunger in Calhoun County.
To show our appreciation, volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and enjoy a complimentary breakfast . By volunteering for this event YOU WILL DIRECTLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of our friends and neighbors.
This event is limited to the first 500 registered.

Anniston Changers Downtown!

It’s that time again! The Anniston Changers are back for another monthly service project, and this time we will be working in Downtown Anniston on August 27th from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM!

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot at the corner of 12th and Noble: 12th Street and Noble Street, Anniston AL 36201
At this project, we will mainly be focusing on cutting weeds, and litter pick-up! Thus, please bring weed eaters, landscaping tools, and gloves! There will be some other tasks as well, so feel free to come and help out in any way that you can!

Anniston High Clean-Up Day! | 07/29/22

Attention all Anniston High School alumni and supporters! On Friday, July 29th, we need YOUR help from 6:00 AM until 12:00 PM as we work to clean up campus for the coming school year!
Volunteers are needed for cutting shrubs, tree trimming, parking lot lining, pressure washing, painting, and landscaping! Thus, we ask that you please bring brooms, pressure washers, and lawn/tree equipment if possible!
