Our Parks and Recreation Department will be offering the below activities for the week of spring break! Please note, the #FieldTrip on Wednesday requires pre-registration online! 🎉 Activities: Bubble Bar War, Crafts, Bingo, & a Movie!
☀️ Tuesday, March 26
⏰ 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT
📍 Hodges Center (3125 Spring Valley Rd, Anniston, AL 36207)
🎉 Activities: Learning Pickleball, Scavenger Hunt, & Flag football!
☀️ Wednesday, March 27 – FIELD TRIP
⏰ 9:00 AM CT to 5:00 PM CT)
🚐 We will depart by city bus at approximately 9:00 AM CT from the Anniston City Meeting Center Center (1615 Noble Street, Anniston, AL). We expect to arrive at the McWane Science Center in Birmingham by 10:00 AM CT. We plan to return to the Anniston City Meeting Center between 4 PM and 5 PM. Please note, this trip is only open to children who reside in the city limits of Anniston. Also, please ensure your child has money for lunch or other needs while on the trip. Anniston Heritage Festival
The 2024 Heritage Festival is almost here! Our annual celebration of Juneteenth looks to be a great time, as this year’s concert will be headlined by “Billboard Top-10 R&B Artists,” Lyfe Jennings! Lyfe is a soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and instrumentalist, who has been heralded by the New York Times as “a socially minded R&B singer.” You can check his music out at this link: www.youtube.com/@LYFEJENNINGS.

EVENT DETAILS:
The 2024 Heritage Festival will take place at Zinn Park (101 W 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201) on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 PM CST until 10:00 PM CST! This event is free to attend, and be on the lookout for future announcements on other artists and other exciting news, as we draw closer to the concert date!
