CALLING ALL COOKS & FOOD LOVERS!!!!!!

Are you the best cook in Calhoun County? Prove it by entering into Carver Community Center’s Chili Cook-Off!

Carver’s Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2022 starting at 12PM and ending at 2PM inside the gymnasium. To sample all chili, the cost is $2. To purchase a bowl of chili, the cost is $5.

If you would like to be a chili contestant please contact Carver Community Center at 256-231-7630 and ask for Recreation Leader Derwin Perry by Monday, January 24th.

All contestants must meet at Carver Community Center on Thursday, January 27th at 6:00 PM for an informational meeting.

6th Annual Judkins Family Christmas BBQ!

6th Annual Judkins Family Christmas

The 6th Annual Judkins Family Christmas will take place Dec. 25th from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Carver Community Center! There will be free food, in to-go-plates, as well as fellowship and music from acts such as N2 Christ & Mary Culpepper! If you are interested in performing at this event, please contact Ms. Judkins at: 256-591-5194!

The menu will include Ribs, Chicken, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and Sides! Be sure to wear your masks and socially distance as well! Delivery will be available for disabled citizens, simply reach out to 256-591-5194 to set it up!

Annual Thanksgiving Feeding at Carver!

The Carver Community Center will have Thanksgiving meals prepared for those seeking a free, warm meal on Thanksgiving Day!

The meals will be available on Thursday, November 25th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Carver Center (720 W. 14th Street, Anniston, AL 36201). 

All meals will be take-out only, and they will remain available while supplies last! For more information, or to learn how you can volunteer to assist this event, please call the Carver Community Center at: 256-231-7630.

Fall Fest | Anniston Museums and Gardens

Fall Fest is returning to Anniston Museums and Gardens! Dress up in your best Halloween costume, bring the entire family, and enjoy a day of fall themed games and activities. Live animals, games, food trucks, rarely seen artifacts, spy activities, hay rides, crafts, and more awaits guests at Anniston Museums and Gardens’ annual Fall Fest. 

Fall Fest is $12/Adult, $10/Child 4-17, $6/Member Child and Adult, and Free/Children 0-3. Cost includes activities and exhibit hall admission. Food truck purchases are not included in cost. To purchase tickets, call 256-237-6766 or visit www.ExploreAMAG.org.

Hey Vendors!!! We are sad to admit that this month is the last Fourth Friday of the year. To THANK YOU for your continued support of Main Street Events, we are having a contest just for you!

Bring your best props, costumes, or games and decorate your booth for the carnival theme!

Vendor applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 15th.

The heat is on against some of Anniston’s favorite restaurants as they compete to be Main Street Anniston’s CHOPPED Champion!
Local celebrity judges include: Anniston Police Chief, Nick Bowles. Vice-Mayor, Ciara C. Smith. And renowned chef and restaurant owner, Brett Jenkins.

Rack and Roll Billiards & Sports Bar, The Peerless Saloon & Grille, Thai One On Anniston, and Effina’s Downtown will compete exhibition style to complete a 3 course meal for our judges. We’re confident that these chefs won’t let the mystery ingredient put them on the chopping block!
