Join us for Longleaf Botanical Gardens Fall Plant Sale Friday, December 3, 10:00am-4:00pm and begin your fall planting! We have a variety of landscape plants, including camellias, trees, shrubs, and more! Looking for a house plant or succulent? Look no further! The Longleaf Botanical Gardens Fall Plant Sale has something for every plant parent. 

Do you have a plant-loving family member or friend? Purchase a Longleaf Botanical Gardens Gift Certificate and give the gift of gardening! Gift Certificates are available for purchase during Third Thursday plant sales 10:00am-5:00pm, Fall Plant Sale, and during museum open hours at Anniston Museum of Natural History and Berman Museum.

Third Thursday: Apple Tasting!

Join us at Longleaf Botanical Gardens for our first Third Thursday apple tasting. October is prime apple season and we love to test and trial different fruit varieties that are available to us. Did you know there are over 2,500 varieties of apples grown in America? We will look at some of the available apple varieties and learn about their history and uses. Whether you are a Honeycrisp or a Granny Smith guy/gal, come sample and learn about the wonderful array of apples.

Longleaf Botanical Gardens 

Tour the Tropicals throughout the Anniston Museums and Gardens this Third Thursday! Longleaf Botanical Gardens Director and Urban Extension Agent, Hayes Jackson, will guide visitors through the Courtyard Garden, Tropical Cascade Garden, and Banana Trees as he shares the history of the plants and how the Anniston Museums and Gardens has successfully developed a tropical paradise in Anniston, Alabama.

It’s August in Alabama and all you want is something cold and refreshing. You can’t even get cold water out of the tap this time of the year! So come join us for the WATERMELON WINGDING where LBG staff and volunteers will be serving up a variety of ice cold watermelon from 5-6 P.M. Come see an array of different watermelon varieties and partake in the LBG watermelon taste test. The gardens will be open from 10 A.M. until 5 P.M. The Longleaf Botanical Gardens nursery and greenhouse will also be open for plant sales.
