Flag Day Program!

Flags have been used throughout the world for the last 3,000 years. From signaling troops in war to representing sovereign countries, flags serve an important place in history. Celebrate Flag Day this year at the Berman Museum as we learn the many purposes of flags, the meaning of colors and symbols, and more. Complete your visit by designing your very own unique flag.

Celebrate the 78th anniversary of D-Day at the Berman Museum with an exciting interactive program led by special guest, SGM Thom Cole, US Army (Ret.). Take part in a classified, top-secret mission briefing for Operation Overlord or Operation Neptune. Step into the role of a sailor, infantry soldier, or paratrooper preparing to parachute in at night or storm the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

Tuesdays in June & July, 12:00pm-1:00pm

Only a small portion of a museum collection is on display at one time. Join us every Tuesday this summer, any time between 12:00pm and 1:00pm as we present objects currently not on exhibit. Each week, we will highlight several artifacts not currently on display and learn the stories behind them. You never know what you’ll discover next!

Wax seals have been used since the Middle Ages to seal documents, both personal and official. Join us at the Berman Museum any time between 1:00pm and 3:00pm to learn how seals have been used throughout history and create your own personalized seal.

Explore the theme of love and devotion through Berman Museum’s art and artifacts. Learn the story behind the painting, The Shadow, create your own shadow drawing, and see additional artifacts not currently on display.

Chinese New Year Celebration!

Exploring Cultures: Our World Through Artifacts and Oral Traditions!

Join us on the last Sunday of each month at any time between 2:00pm and 4:00pm as we explore various cultures through artifacts, both on and off display, in the Berman Museum collection. This is a fun way to learn more about different people groups throughout time and their world views from the items and stories they have left behind. January’s program will focus on Dynastic China.
