The City Council, which consists of a Mayor and four Council Members, serves as the governing body of the City. 

Council Meetings:

  • The Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
    • Work Sessions begin at 5:00pm (unless otherwise stated on agenda), in the council chambers on the 2nd floor of city hall (1129 Noble Street). NOTE: Meetings are temporarily being held at the Anniston City Meeting Center (1615 Noble Street) until further notice – please click here for public notice
    • The formal Council Meetings begin at 5:30 pm, and they also take place in the council chambers on the 2nd floor of city hall (1129 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201). 
    • You may request to speak at a council meeting by completing this form: Request to Speak at Council Meeting

All Work Sessions and Council Meetings are streamed live to the City of Anniston’s Facebook page. They are also uploaded to our Youtube channel the day after, as to provide closed captioning.
