City Council

The City Council, which consists of a Mayor and four Council Members, serves as the governing body of the City.

Council Meetings:

The Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
- Work Sessions begin at 5:00pm (unless otherwise stated on agenda), in the council chambers on the 2nd floor of city hall (1129 Noble Street). NOTE: Meetings are temporarily being held at the Anniston City Meeting Center (1615 Noble Street) until further notice – please click here for public notice.
- The formal Council Meetings begin at 5:30 pm, and they also take place in the council chambers on the 2nd floor of city hall (1129 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201).
- You may request to speak at a council meeting by completing this form: Request to Speak at Council Meeting.
